Enjoy a half-day walking tour exploring Lima's cultural wonders. Lace-up your comfy walking shoes and join your knowledgeable local guide as they unfold the cities rich cultural legacy before you as you discover colonial Lima. Visit the 16th century Santo Domingo Monastery and climb up the bell tower for the most incredible view of Lima. Marvel at Inca, Spanish, and Republican-era artifacts uncovered by archeologists at the Bodega y Quadra Museum, located in the heart of the city's historic center. Next, take a walking tour of the Plaza de Armas where you'll learn about the history of the presidential palace and the Lima Cathedral. The Plaza de Armas also called the Plaza Mayor is a cannot miss when coming to Lima. There isn't a single building that remains from the 16th-century settlement in this 140 square meter plaza, however, at the centre of the plaza stands a beautiful bronze fountain that has stood there since 1650. Regardless if you enjoy history or not, you will be blown away by the knowledge of your guide and the happenings that have taken place in this plaza for centuries.
